Eisner has just come out with a new book on the importance of art in education: The Arts and the Creation of Mind.

While we didn't need Eisner to persuade us that art is important, I wonder what you are encountering in your institution. Are you able to use the arts in your teaching? Is there pressure to concetrate on the 3 R's?

Let's hear how you 're using some of the lesson plans posted here or other idas you have for integrating art in to your curriculum.
